Pro External Controller

A Pro External Controller (PEC) runs a progressive cavity pump from your line's PLC or HMI instead of a front panel. Parameters are set and monitored over RS232C Modbus (ASCII, LRC), shot signals are answered without delay, and speed and channel can change while the line runs. It is a compact 24 V DC box. It works with PCP-005 through PCP-1000. The PEC-1000 adds a mix-ratio mode and a 5 A supply.

Compare models

Model Modes Control Supply Pumps
PEC-100 Time, Steady, Metering PLC (RS232C Modbus) or HMI 24 V DC, 3 A max PCP-005 to PCP-1000
PEC-1000 Time, Steady, Mix Ratio PLC (RS232C Modbus) or HMI 24 V DC, 5 A max PCP-005 to PCP-1000

How to choose

  • If an operator sets up the pump at the station, a PROCON with its own touch screen is simpler.
  • If the line PLC owns every setting and logs every shot, use a PEC.

Frequently asked questions

What protocol does the PEC use?
