How much will you dispense, and what container fits?

Work out the material in each part, how much your line uses, and how long each container size would last against your material's shelf life.

1Material per part

A bead sitting on a flat part is usually close to half a circle (50%).

Heavy filled materials (S.G. 2.5 and up) often ship in pails filled only about a third.

How this is calculated

Daily use = material per part × parts per hour × hours per shift × shifts per day, plus the purge and waste allowance. A container's life is its usable volume divided by daily use, converted to calendar time with your days per week. Usable shelf life is shelf life minus the months gone on arrival, or the opened life if that is shorter. A container is flagged if it lasts longer than 90% of usable shelf life, or if it needs more than two changes per shift. For 2K, each side has its own cartridge or container, sized to its share of the ratio. Container volumes are nominal: SC330 sealant cartridge = 330 ml, 1 gallon = 3.785 L, 5 gallon = 18.9 L, 55 gallon = 208 L.
